2.) A. the most powerful picture the chapter five nineteenth photo. There's no distraction in the background and so the subjects just stand out well. I think this picture is great even though it's unbalanced, the army men just look strong and i think it's a good picture.
B. I think all of chapter one is a strong sequence of photos because it shows the soldier enlisting in the army and you can see the emotion not only in his eyes but also his parents. It shows the realities of going into the army straight out of high school it's pretty moving.
C. These images show the main points of Ian's life and they tell a story because the images come right after the other. Like every picture tells a section of the whole story, but these pictures work well together.  They all fit so well together and there's so much emotion in each picture. It's like his whole life wrapped up in a few pictures.
3) A. The verbs are usually written in present tense.
B  The captions enhance the photos because they say what the picture is showing. However, they give you some insight and what Ian is saying or thinking at the time that the picture was taken.They also tell you what the picture doesn't, like what happens after or right before the picture was taken.
4) 1. Chapter 8: Coming Home
Picture number 18.
Ian Fisher toasts with his friends Jonathan and Harvey on the night he gets home from Iraq while his girlfriend, Jenny, is in the background just watching. This is the first time Ian has seen Johnathan and Harvey in over a year and they toast to making more memories and having more fun times just like the good ol' days.

Ian Fisher closes his eyes and reminisces while he is getting his hair shaved his third day in the army. Ian has had his head shaved multiple so this is no big deal for him.

Ian's dad, Mark, wakes him up for his big day to go to Basic Training in Little Rock, Arkansas. Ian's mother was in the kitchen cooking him up a good breakfast for his last day at home.

A. These videos enhance the photographs because they basically give a detailed description about the photographs and you can hear the emotion in the voices and the background music just enhances the sadness.
B. Videos are sometimes better than photographs because you don't have to analyze the picture to figure out what all is going on, videos just tell and show you everything. They use the elements of SOUND along with sight to tell a story, whereas pictures just use sight. An example would be the Video Chapter 2-First Days and Second Thoughts video.
C. I think videos are better than photographs because with photographs you can see the emotion but in videos not only can you see it but you can also hear it. I just think videos tell the story better because you can hear a lot of different points of view whereas you can only see one side of things in photographs.

he was a very good editor with his skills to make such a good sideshow. the effects that he added by narrating it from the heart was very good. it showed the life of a marine after he has been let go from the platoon.

Part 3 A, B, C, D

The most powerful image in the whole sideshow to me was when he is on his motorcycle just cruising thinking about life. because is show how a person and cope with his problems and just free his mind.. the sequence of photographs that is most powerful to me in was when he showed himself going to counseling with his wife because it showed that he tried to get help with his situation. the audio helps the person who is watching understand the situation and get to know the marine better.the images work together to tell such an interesting story by going with the audio. and get the situation together.

 this video is intresting to me because it is a commercial for where the wild things are. a movie that has interesting lighting a new features.

 This picture has alot of intesity behind it. it shows the football player taylor mays making a big impact hit on a penn state player. this photo is too powerful wirh the intensity that the tackle that the players collided. the content in the photo is a football game that went ugly for a player when he got cracked by two players at the same time. the lighting is the sun is a big factor.

Great Black and White Photographers part 3

in this picture i see a stove and a pot in it and i can see the black and white color and texture. if i could smell what was in the picture i would probably smell somthing cooking or a pot heat. i hear a creeking noise in the walls when i look at this picture. i tastelike an old taste when i see this picture like an old fashioned feeling. i feel safe when i look at this picture becuase of the comfortableness that is in there.

In this picture i see a girl graduating and it seems that she is happy like she should be. i smell the air and the intensity that is going on in the situation. i hear the cheers of the girl and how happy she is about graduating.. i taste the air of the new york streets and what is going on. i feel proud of the girl and what she has accomplished.

1.This photo is probably telling a grand story because it looks like a child reading a story for another child. he seems to be interested in what he is reading. The kid reading looks to be older than the rest of the kids. It looks like the younger children are actually paying attention to what the older one is reading.


2.This photo doesn't have too much action but it has some emotion as you can see the father cares for his daughter. He seems to be trying to calm her down because she seems to be excited or afraid of something.. the emotion the father shows to his child is that everything is gonna be alright. the passion is there he just has to be aware of his surrounding.


3.This third photo fills the frame with an interesting skeleton pic that is just laying there on the table. Just the fact that it is a skeleton puts it at a level where it can be one of those filling the frame photos. It has to be one of the top  of the line photos and is a big attention grabber because it is not normal to see a skeleton just laying on  a table like that.
